Why Lease A Nissan Primastar?
The latest Nissan Primastar is a new name in the medium van marketplace, competing against some big names - such as the Ford Transit Custom and Volkswagen Transporter - for attention.
Although the name is new, the van itself has been around for a while, previously known as the Nissan NV300. It’s available in a choice of two lengths (L1 and L2), two heights (H1 and H2) and three weights meaning that you’ll be able to choose a new Nissan Primastar that is exactly suited to your requirements. There’s even a crew van, a combi and a platform cab Primastar available. There are no compromises on the previous version, and with payloads of up to 1227kg the current Primastar can carry more weight than some much larger vans. Primastar Specifications & Dimensions
All versions of the Nissan Primastar are powered by the same Euro 6D compliant 2.0-litre diesel engine, it’s available in a range of outputs from 110hp to 170hp with the option of an automatic gearbox. The Primastar has long service intervals of every 24 months or 18,000 miles, and a fantastic five-year/100,000 mile warranty.
Open the rear doors and you’re presented with a flexible and spacious loadspace. Internal lengths are 2537mm for the L1, with the L2 offering 2937mm, and the load through bulkhead (when fitted) allows for even longer loads to be carried. Some manufacturers don’t market a high-roofed version of their medium vans, but with the H2 Primastar providing a loadspace height of 1898mm it’s an advantage over some well-known competitors. Payloads of up to 1227kg are available at the top end of the range, with a maximum load volume of up to 8.9 cubic metres available.
Nissan Primastar Trim
The Nissan Primastar is available in a choice of four trim levels with a range of driver assistance and safety technology. Each trim level adds progressively more options to the vehicle. The range starts off with ‘Visia’, which comes with a DAB audio system with Bluetooth, cruise control, electrically-adjustable door mirrors, electric windows and LED daytime running lights. Next up is the ‘Acenta’ trim level with air conditioning, rear parking sensors, a fold-down centre seat, body-coloured bumpers and mirrors, and full-size wheel trims.
Things start to get serious at the ‘Tekna’ trim level with the inclusion of an eight-inch touchscreen, satellite navigation, smartphone integration, a rear-view camera, front parking sensors, and 17-inch alloy wheels. The ultimate Primastar is the ‘Tekna+’ trim level, which adds driver aids such as lane departure warning, blind spot detection, driver attention alert, traffic sign recognition and forward emergency braking. Be sure to take a look at the vehicle’s spec list to confirm which options your vehicle comes with.
