The RAV4 is only available as a Hybrid or a Plug-In Hybrid, and as a result claims impressive fuel economy and emissions numbers. This all helps to keep Benefit-in-Kind (BIK) rates low for any company car drivers. Toyota claims 48.8-49.5mpg, impressive figures for an SUV with a 2.5-litre petrol engine. The hybrid tech as well as the ability to drive on pure electric power helps those figures.
The RAV4 boasts emissions figures as low as 129g/km for front-wheel-drive models and only 131g/km on 4-wheel drive-versions. This makes it a cheaper car to run than some competitors, despite the car having a higher price point initially.
For the ultimate BIK benefit, though, the Plug-In Hybrid claims 22g/km of CO2 and up to 282.5mpg, although that latter figure does wholly depend on how often you charge your Toyota RAV4 lease and drive it on its electric power alone.
