High quality throughout.

  • As standard, all EQA models can charge at up to 11kW from an AC charging point, which means that they can make the most of kerbside chargers. For faster DC charging, all EQAs will charge at up to 100kW from a suitably powerful charger.

Mercedes offers the EQA with 12 months’ membership to its Mercedes Me charging programme, which brings with it discounts on public charging. That includes the ultra-fast Ionity rapid chargers, which are especially useful for high-mileage drivers.

At 100kW charging speeds, the EQA can charge from 10% battery capacity to 80% in just 32 minutes. Mercedes also has exclusive offers for fitting a 7.4kW home charging point. Plugged into one of those, the EQA will fully charge in about eight hours.

  • Being a Mercedes, the EQA has a wealth of safety and driver assistance equipment as standard. On top of that, there’s an optional Driving Assistance Package that comes with radar-guided cruise control, a blind-spot monitor, lane-keeping steering, and steering that can help you swerve away from an imminent collision.

Which Models Are Available?

The Mercedes-Benz EQA is offered as a 5-door, 5-seat crossover SUV only.

Mercedes-Benz EQA Trim Levels

Trim Levels Available: Sport, AMG Line, AMG Line Premium

Sport is the entry-level trim for the EQA, and it comes with 18-inch alloy wheels, comfort suspension, an electric tailgate, high-performance LED headlights, privacy glass, twin 10-inch instrument and infotainment screens, and heated front seats

The AMG Line version of the EQA gets sportier styling and a dark finish for the 18-inch alloy wheels. Other standard equipment includes brushed aluminium cabin trim, synthetic leather upholstery and a sports steering wheel.

The top-of-the-range EQA is called AMG Line Premium. It keeps the sporty styling kit of the AMG Line version, and adds 19-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic glass sunroof, keyless entry and ignition, an upgraded stereo and a wireless phone charger.

Compare Your Mercedes EQA Lease Deal

The EQA’s closest rival is the Audi Q4 E-Tron, but it’s a bit bulkier and heavier, so not quite as nimble to drive. BMW also has a sharp rival to the EQA in the shape of the iX1 electric crossover, which comes with a 272-mile range and attractive styling.

Tesla’s Model Y could also be considered a rival to the more expensive EQA models, and it has exceptional range and performance. The Tesla isn’t as well-made as the Mercedes, though.

  • Mercedes has an enviable reputation for build quality and reliability, so we wouldn’t expect any significant issues with the EQA. As with every Mercedes model, the EQA comes with a 3-year, unlimited-mileage warranty, and the battery pack gets its own specific 8-year, 100,000-mile warranty.

  • The EQA has a 340-litre boot, which is on the small side for a car of this size. You can expand that to 1,320 litres if you fold the back seats down.

  • Yes, as standard all EQAs come with rear parking sensors and a reversing camera. There’s an optional upgrade to a 360-degree camera system with automated parking as well.

  • The EQA’s cabin is very roomy, with plenty of space up front for taller drivers and passengers, and enough leg- and headroom in the back seats for almost anyone to get comfortable. The floor in the rear of the cabin is almost flat too, which helps when trying to get three people sitting side-by-side in the back.

  • The EQA is popular because it’s a premium German crossover with electric power and a very impressive 1-charge range. That makes it hugely desirable in many eyes and, given its various qualities, that’s deserved.

  • When you lease a Mercedes-Benz EQA with Vanarama, you’ll get the best price guaranteed with our Price Promise. We offer free delivery straight to your door and free 30-day returns, so leasing your brand-new car with us is simple and fast. We’re rated excellent on Trustpilot! Find your perfect drive today.
