Kia Stonic Top Features

Good to drive and easy to live with.

Even the base model comes with lots of kit.

Excellent reliability and a long warranty.

  • The Kia Stonic measures up well on the practicality front. There’s plenty of room inside, both in the front and the back, and the rear seats can accommodate two adults with ease – and three at a push. There are also plenty of other storage points dotted around.

Pop the boot open and you’ll find a luggage compartment that offers 352 litres of storage space, which is not that far off the space offered by many a popular small hatchback. The rear seats fold down too, increasing the space on offer to 1,155 litres.

  • The Stonic is an inexpensive car to run, thanks in part to its fuel efficiency – and that’s the case regardless of which model you go for.

The base model delivers around 50mpg, which is the same as that managed by the hybrid models.

Other costs, such as insurance, should be low. Every Kia also comes with a 7-year/100,000-mile warranty, which should keep issues and any unexpected expenditure to a minimum. If you’re racking up the miles, it’s worth noting that the mileage cover is unlimited for the first three years.

Kia Stonic Lease Models Available

Kia Stonic SUV

The Kia Stonic is a small SUV, with 5 doors and 5 seats – and that’s the sole body style that’s offered. There are several trim levels, however, and customers can pick from manual and automatic versions of the front-wheel-drive Kia. An array of accessories, cosmetic upgrades and service plans are also available for the new Stonic.

Kia Stonic Trim Levels

Trim levels available: 2, GT-Line, Connect, GT-Line S.

One of the strong points of Kia is that it always equips its cars to a high standard. Even the entry-level Stonic, for example, comes with air conditioning, electric folding and heated door mirrors, automatic lights, cruise control, a 4.2-inch colour driver’s display and rear parking sensors. You also get an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support.

The Kia Stonic Vs Competitors

A plethora of compact SUVs are available these days, including the Skoda Kamiq, Nissan Juke, Volkswagen T-Roc and Renault Captur. They’re all good options – but if you want something that offers up a bit of fun for the driver, you’ll probably find the Kia Stonic more to your liking.

The good equipment levels, excellent reliability and long warranty serve to make the Kia even more appealing. Some rivals do offer a bit more room in the back – however, that won’t be a major stumbling block for most.

  • You shouldn’t have any problems when it comes to reliability, as Kia has an excellent reputation on that front. It backs this peace of mind up with its long warranty. Customers also often report great service and care.

  • With all of the seats in place, the Kia Stonic offers up a 352-litre boot. To put things into perspective, that’s about the same size as the boot in a Volkswagen Polo. You can drop the rear seats as well, which bumps up the storage space to 1155 litres.

  • The entry-level 2 grade of Kia Stonic comes with lots of kit, including air conditioning and cruise control – but it’s worth stepping up to GT-Line if you can. It adds features such as LED headlights, climate control, satnav and a reversing camera, so it feels a bit more luxurious. Higher-specification Connect and GT-Line S models are also available.

  • Even the standard Kia Stonic comes with rear parking sensors, but if you step up to the GT-Line model, you’ll get a reversing camera as well. Front parking sensors are only offered on the range-topping GT-Line S model.

  • As standard, the Stonic gets an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, and USB connectivity. GT-Line and above models come with sat nav too.

  • Yes. Even the entry-level Stonic 2, with the turbocharged petrol engine, can be had with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. You will pay a premium for the automatic model, though.

  • We’ll offer you the best price on your lease as we can guarantee the best car leasing deals with our Price Promise. This also comes with free delivery. Plus, we offer free 30-day returns and a whole load of friendly experts to answer your questions.
